Advancing Resilience and Collaboration

In the face of an increasingly complex and dynamic terrorism landscape, Centinel hosted its Counter Terrorism Forum 2025 from 18 to 26 February. The in-person, closed-door Forum brought together over 50 thought leaders from more than 20 countries to examine the Arc of Terrorism—a transregional continuum of terrorist networks, operational linkages, and ideological movements spanning Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and Southeast Asia—and to catalyse cross-sector collaboration.

Guided by the theme ‘Advancing Resilience and Collaboration’, participants evaluated emerging threats, reimagined strategic responses, and explored innovative technologies to strengthen regional security. The Forum continues to serve as a trusted platform for strategic dialogue, cross-sector knowledge exchange, and the advancement of resilient public-private partnerships. Together, we are shaping a safer, more resilient future.

Set against the backdrop of rising and emerging threats across Southeast Asia, Counter Terrorism Forum 2024 brought together leading minds from government, industry, and security to unpack the region’s most pressing terrorism and extremism challenges.

This in-person, close-door Forum was not just about insights—it was about impact. Through dynamic discussions and strategic networking, participants built lasting connections and exchanged cutting-edge practices to strengthen regional resilience.

From confronting evolving threats to rethinking outdated paradigms, and harnessing transformative tech, the Forum pushed boundaries in shaping the next frontier of counter terrorism.

Inaugural Counter Terrorism Forum 2023

Recognise Threats. Reinvigorate Networks. Reaffirm Strategies.

The inaugural Counter Terrorism Forum unfolded over nine impactful days from 14 to 22 February 2023. Behind closed doors, the Forum convened a select gathering of regional government officials, private sector leaders, and security professionals—all united by a shared mission to strengthen Southeast Asia’s collective response to terrorism.

Guided by three core themes, the Forum focused on recognising threats, revitalising strategic networks, and reaffirming counter-terrorism strategies. Discussions highlighted the vital role of trusted, cross-sector partnerships in navigating an increasingly complex threat landscape—and in forging a more resilient regional security ecosystem.
